Title: Raisin Puff Cookies

Yield: 14 Dozen

3 3/4cRaisins
2 1/2cWater
2 1/2cVegetable shortening
3 3/4cSugar
5 Eggs
2 1/2tsVanilla
1tsNutmeg
2 1/2tsSoda
1 1/4tsSalt
8 3/4cFlour
1tsCinnamon
  White sugar; for rolling cookies in
1 1/2cNuts; chopped (optional)

Boil raisins and water until water is absorbed. Cool. Mix w/remaining ingredients. Roll into balls; dip in white sugar. Bake at 375~ to 400~ about 10 mins. If desired, 1.1/2 cups nuts may be added. Cookies may be frozen.
